Project Type:  Pre-Planning for a Capital Campaign

Client:               Lourdes High School - Rochester, MN

CFC Brought a New Perspective and a Great Depth of Experience

SITUATION:  Lourdes High School has an older high school, located in downtown Rochester, and alumni and parents wanted to either rehab that facility or build a new school on a new campus.  After committee study, the conclusion was drawn that in either case the project cost would be $50 - $60 million.  For lack of a method to go from concept to reality, the committee was struggling.

CFC ROLE:  CFC assisted the committee in their study and discernment by recommending a capital campaign pre-planning approach.  Ultimately, CFC assisted the committee with articulating and facing the fact that $56 million is an extraordinary capital campaign for a high school, especially in light of the fact that the Diocese requries 50% of project costs in cash before a project can start.

CLIENT REFLECTION:  CFC has helped us in the early stages of our planning and deliberation.  Having concluded our preliminary study, we have placed the matter in the hands of our trustess where it is under study.  Work with CFC has been very rewarding in that they are very knowledgeable and experienced and they've brought to us keen insight, especially relating to tax-exempt financing.  We have nothing but very positive things to say about CFC and the CFC team.

"CFC brought a new perspective and a great depth of experience that really opened our eyes as to the other options that were out there for a project of this magnitude."
